Statistics doesn’t have to feel confusing or overwhelming. Statistics Made Clear is designed to help learners understand what statistical concepts actually mean—not simply memorize formulas.

This course provides a clear, step-by-step introduction to high school statistics and probability. Through visual explanations, worked examples, guided practice, real-world applications, and mastery checks, students develop the skills needed to analyze data and make evidence-based conclusions.

Throughout the course, you will learn how to identify different types of data and variables, distinguish populations from samples, recognize sampling bias, and organize data using appropriate statistical displays. You will calculate and interpret measures of center such as mean, median, and mode, as well as measures of variability including range, interquartile range, variance, and standard deviation.

As the course progresses, you will explore distributions, outliers, z-scores, and the normal distribution. You will also build a foundation in probability, including sample spaces, complements, independent and dependent events, conditional probability, and compound probability involving AND and OR events.

Rather than watching long lectures, the course is organized into focused lessons that break challenging concepts into manageable steps. You’ll encounter worked examples, practice opportunities, statistical investigations, recap activities, and mastery checks throughout the course.

By the end of the course, you will be able to analyze data, select appropriate statistical methods, interpret your results, solve probability problems, and explain what the numbers mean in context.

No previous statistics experience is required. Basic arithmetic and introductory algebra skills are recommended.
